SBI Shinsei Bank, Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo; President and CEO: Katsuya Kawashima; hereinafter “SBI Shinsei Bank”) is pleased to announce that the total deposit balance of SBI Hyper Yokin exceeded ¥800 billion as of December 26, 2025.

 

The collaborative service with SBI Securities, “SBI Hyper Yokin,” has been well received by many customers following the launch of the “Aim for ¥1 Trillion! Interest Rate Up to 10 Times Campaign” on December 10, 2025 (please check the campaign page for detailed conditions). As a result, the balance surpassed ¥800 billion on December 26.

 

On December 22, we announced that starting January 9, 2026, the standard interest rate for SBI Hyper Yokin will increase from 0.42% per annum (0.3346% after tax) to 0.50% per annum (0.3984% after tax). In addition, the maximum campaign interest rate will rise to the equivalent of 5.0% per annum (3.9842% after tax). This announcement has significantly boosted customer interest, leading to an increase of more than ¥100 billion in deposits within just five days after surpassing ¥700 billion.

While most major banks plan to raise rates starting in February, we have taken the lead by setting January 9, 2026, as the effective date for SBI Hyper Yokin’s interest rate revision. This decision reflects the SBI Group’s commitment to its “Customer-centric Principle” and ensures customers can benefit from the recent policy rate hike as early as possible.

 

SBI Shinsei Bank will continue striving to enhance corporate value, taking its listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market as a new starting point. In collaboration with other SBI Group companies, we will keep providing innovative and attractive services for our customers.
